LG Single Door PCB Blinks Error Codes
Md AFSAR •

If your LG single door refrigerator is showing power PCB blink errors, the number of blinks indicates a specific fault. Refer to the table below:
| Blink Count | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 1 Blink | PCB defective |
| 2 Blinks | PCB parts defect or compressor connection issue |
| 3 Blinks | Open circuit or wire harness connection failure between main PCB and compressor (Check OLP). If OK, replace PCB |
| 4 Blinks | Check input voltage under load; if voltage is normal and error repeats, PCB defective |
| 5 Blinks | Inverter compressor faulty / overload (possible gas choke) |
| 6 Blinks | Inverter compressor defective |
| 7 Blinks | PCB defective |
| 8 Blinks | IPM defective (PCB replacement required) |
Error Code Explanation
1 Blink – PCB Defective
The main power PCB is faulty and unable to control refrigerator operations properly. PCB replacement is usually required.
2 Blinks – PCB Parts Defect / Compressor Connection Issue
There may be damaged PCB components or a loose/faulty compressor connection. Check wiring and terminals before replacing the PCB.
3 Blinks – Open Circuit / Harness Failure
Indicates a break in wiring between the main PCB and compressor. Inspect the wire harness and OLP (Overload Protector). If wiring is fine, replace the PCB.
4 Blinks – Input Voltage Issue
Check the power supply voltage under load conditions. If voltage is stable and the error continues, the PCB is likely defective.
5 Blinks – Inverter Compressor Fault / Overload
The inverter compressor may be overloaded, possibly due to gas choke or internal mechanical issue. System inspection is required.
6 Blinks – Inverter Compressor Defective
The inverter compressor has failed and may need replacement after proper testing.
7 Blinks – PCB Defective
Another indication of PCB failure. Inspect for visible damage or burnt components and replace if necessary.
8 Blinks – IPM Defective
The IPM (Intelligent Power Module) inside the PCB is faulty. In most cases, complete PCB replacement is required.
